Ultrasound devices should define frequency, acoustic intensity, output mode, probe area, coupling method and treatment duration, and assess whether significant thermal effects, cavitation or tissue effects may occur.
Delivery Claims
Claims such as “enhances absorption” or “transdermal delivery” must be supported by the mechanism, test method and risk controls. They cannot simply be added to the intended purpose as marketing language.
